The Sims 3
Hi everyone!! Those who have read THIS POST and THIS POST will know that I’ve recently been trying to set up a successful home bakery. Well, I thought that I would give you all a bit of an update on how things are going!
Michael was successfully able to woo Hailey and she agreed to move in with him! I also decided to put her to work in his bakery. As Michael has been building up his Cooking and Gardening skills I thought it would be best to have him focus on the baking of the goods and the produce he uses to make said goods. Hailey moving in with him really allowed the bakery to grow a bit. We closed the shop for the day and had the two of them working as a team to cook a good number of dishes and restock the shelves. This has made things a lot easier on them.
With a good supply of food on hand it was time to test the shop and the set up going on. Things are going well I’m happy to say! Hailey will happily serve the customers and restock the shelves while Michael works out back to cook up dishes as customers take them off the shelves. The also make pretty good money too now. The loans of about $20,000 have been brought down to just over £11,000 and they have now purchased a SwiftGro Gardening Station to help keep maintenance of the greenhouse as low as possible.
I’m thinking that the next step for these two are to get married and have children to help out with the business. Michael is nearing Adulthood and Hailey is already there. I’d also like to further expand upon this bakery to include a bit of an eat-in restaurant with the It’s Business Time Industrial Oven to sell food that people can eat within the bakery. But that will be much further down the line I think.
Hey everyone! After what’s been happening with Michael Farron I thought I’d give you an update since the last one!
I decided that Michael and Maya needed to get out of the house for a bit and it was the last day of the Winter Festival in Appaloosa Plains, so I took them there. While there Michael me a lovely Sim named Hailey Shepherd who just happened to be single. The two started chatting and were getting on well until Hailey had to leave. Michael and Maya also returned home. The next day after Michale closed shop he was sat eating his dinner and I felt sorry for him because of how lonely he is in the house. As if by chance Hailey stopped by a few minutes later (I didn’t even invite her!).
While there the two really developed their relationship. She even produced a lovely bunch of flowers for Michael and picked up the trash can after a mean raccoon knocked it over! It seems like a match made in heaven! Shop wise? Things are going well, although an unexpected house fire meant we only had a single sale one day.
It’s now Love Day and I’m going to have Michael invite Hailey out to the Spring Festival for some fun and romance! Let’s hope things improve for this little guy soon 😀 I’ll keep you updated on this 😀
Hi everybody! I thought I’d discuss what I’ve been getting up to in my game lately. I recently started a new family to test out some of my mods and I’ve become quite attached to them already! I’m playing with a single Sim, Michael Farron, and his pet dog, Maya. I moved them into Appaloosa Plains and into some hideous looking pre-made house. It came with a garage and a rather large garden.
I wanted him to start up his own business selling jars of Jam and preserves, so I got to work right away on his little garden. As time went on he ran out of money (having to buy food and pay bills is expensive when you don’t work!) so I had him take out a loan to kit out the garage a bit into a shop.
I used modded Bakery Shelves to start selling the jam and preserves with the help of the Savvier Sellers Collection but encountered a problem with the jars being restocked! They were broken!! Having spent so much time and money setting things up I hit a dilemma: do I give up with this dream business or do I think of other things to sell? Not being one to give up right away I checked my garden to see what produce was available to harvest and what stock I had left in the fridge. I was in luck, some plants had produced fruit that morning and we had some fruit left over in the fridge. The only problem was money. We had none and the repowoman had already been the previous day!
It was time to go back to the bank and get a further loan. This one didn’t need to be so high, just enough to get the Bakers Station and a chicken coop. So we got those and got to work on producing the goods to sell! We haven’t made much yet, but it’s still early days. I have upgraded the shop so it’s no longer a garage but now an actual shop front! Hopefully we will be able to meet someone who can help us run our business and start a family! 😀
